At PADS (Pregnancy and Delivery Support), we are dedicated to ensuring that every pregnant mother receives the vital information and guidance required to approach maternal healthcare promptly and effectively. We understand the significance of this pivotal journey in a woman’s life, and our goal is to provide comprehensive support that goes beyond just medical care.
Our Values
At PADS, our fundamental principle revolves around assisting and empowering individuals to independently navigate the journey of motherhood. We believe that addressing maternal mortality and morbidity is of utmost importance, aligning with Goal 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SDG3 is dedicated to ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for people of all ages, a central focus within the new SDGs agenda spanning until 2030.
In February 2015, the World Health Organization (WHO) released the “Strategies Towards Ending Preventable Maternal Mortality” (EDMM), a guiding document outlining global targets and approaches to reduce maternal mortality under the framework of the SDGs.
PADS is firmly committed to assuming a pivotal role in eradicating preventable maternal mortality and morbidity. Our aspiration is to become a significant stakeholder in achieving this critical objective, underscoring our dedication to fostering healthier lives for both mothers and their infants.
EDMM Targets
By 2030, the objective is to decrease the global maternal mortality ratio to fewer than 70 maternal deaths per 100,000 live births.
A substantial proportion of these maternal fatalities can be averted.
The leading causes of maternal mortality include Hypertensive disorders like Pre-eclampsia and Eclampsia, unsafe abortions, postpartum hemorrhage, and various delivery-related complications.
In principle, all these primary contributors to maternal mortality can be effectively addressed with immediate and efficient interventions.
At PADS, we actively shape and empower every expectant woman with the essential knowledge required to seek timely healthcare services.
Building a strong community and support system, that pregnant women can always rely upon physically, emotionally, and psychologically.
We ensure every pregnant woman and her family (women and their spouse) is enlightened about her pregnancy journey thereby preventing avoidable conditions and complications.
Our Vision
At PADS, our objective is to significantly diminish maternal mortality and morbidity by providing comprehensive physical, emotional, and psychological support to pregnant women and their families. Our goal is to facilitate a seamless and joyful pregnancy journey, ultimately leading to a safe and secure delivery.
Our Mission
Our mission is to educate and empower pregnant women, equipping them with the essential support and knowledge needed to navigate their pregnancies while accessing timely healthcare interventions when required. Our commitment extends to offering holistic physical, emotional, and psychological assistance to all women of childbearing age, with a special focus on pregnant women.
PADS aims to foster a vibrant community of families, where social interaction and the cultivation of meaningful relationships thrive. We believe in building a supportive network that not only enhances the pregnancy journey but also contributes to the overall well-being of every individual involved.
